Plastering, Tiling and Wet Trades
What will I learn?
This course is ideal for someone looking to increase their skills for employment in Construction, or home owners working to upgrade their property.
Traditionally known as wet trades, you will learn to make repairs to plaster on walls and ceilings and apply render to various surfaces. You will also learn the skills required to fix tiles for kitchens and bathrooms all to an industry standard.
Continuous informal assessment throughout the course and, where applicable, using industry standard models and drawings.
What could I progress on to?
Some courses will offer progression routes, there may be an opportunity to increased your employability skills by undertaking an accredited course in the Construction department.
The Construction industry is expanding rapidly, and people with skills training and safety awareness are always in demand.
Materials and specialist equipment are covered in the cost, however students will need to provide their own personal protective equipment, basic marking and measuring tools and stationery.
