Level 2 Diploma for Music Practitioners
What entry requirements do I need?
You will need a minimum of: 4 GCSEs grade A*- D (grade 3 - 9) including English and maths.
What will I learn?
During this one-year course you will use your passion for music to develop your vocal or instrumental skills and learn what it takes to be a working musician in the industry.
During our one-year RSL (Rock School Limited) accredited course you will be free to explore your musical creativity while we support you and guide with theoretical knowledge of the music industry and technology. You can use our instruments and music editing software to perform your own music and record it in our sound studio. Our tutors, who have years of experience in the industry, can teach you skills in composing music, sequencing, remixing and post-production your tracks.
You will learn principle elements of:

- Live music performance
- Digital recording and production
- Composing music
- Music marketing and promotion
- Live sound recording
- Remixing and production
- Careers in music
- Selling music
You will receive regular feedback from your tutors about your progress on assignments, and these will be under strict deadlines.
What could I progress on to?
On completion of this course you can progress on to our Music Practitioners Level 3 Qualification.
With some additional training you can start a career as a DJ, a Performer, a Sound engineer, a Sound technician, a Music publisher, a Music Producer, or working in Event Management.
You may need to supply your own kit and equipment and essentail study material, costing approximately £50.
