Introduction to Counselling
What will I learn?
This course is aimed at learners over the age of 19 due the nature of the content. environment.
The course consists of 4 mandatory units:-
- Using Counselling skills
- Introduction to Counselling Skills Theories
- Diversity and Ethics in the Use of Counselling Skills
- Counselling Skills and Personal Development.
An introduction to counselling skills, designed to allow learners of all abilities to use counselling skills when working with others. Successful completion of the course will allow learners to progress onto higher level counselling courses in order to progress to employment as a counsellor.
Assessment methods will include assignments, observations and role plays with work completing a portfolio of evidence for presentation.
What could I progress on to?
The course will allow for learners to progress a practical course in counselling.
