The Severe Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (SLDD) group at Sussex Coast College Hastings hosted their annual Christmas play this afternoon, joined by hundreds of spectators, including Chair of the Corporation, Tony Campbell OBE KSG FRSA, Principal Clive Cooke, other members of senior management, friends, family and colleagues.
The atrium was filled with smiling faces, Christmas singing and laughter, kick-starting the festive spirit as the end of term approaches.
The performance, titled ‘A TV Christmas’ was full of fun and jokes as the students and staff performed traditional songs, modern dancing and even an enactment of the Queen’s Christmas day speech.
At the end of the show, Ben Wickes was ecstatic to be announced the winner of an iPod and the raffle prizes were drawn.
Tony Campbell OBE KSG FRSA wrapped up the performance by commenting ‘this has been a great way to start the Christmas season. SLDD is an area of the College which highlights importance of supporting one another, no matter which area of education you are in. Thank you to everyone involved in this fantastic performance, I wish you all a restful Christmas and prosperous new year.’
